Reporting crime helps keep our communities safe and can provide vital information to support investigations. Here's how to report incidents to the police: 🔴 Call 999 immediately if: • A crime is happening now • Someone is in danger • There is a threat to life • Violence is being used or threatened • A suspect is still at the scene 🟡 Report via 101 or online if: • The crime has already happened • There is no immediate danger • You want to report suspicious activity • Property has been damaged or stolen • You need police advice or assistance 💻 Online reporting Many non-emergency incidents can be reported through your local police force's website at a time convenient to you. 📸 What information helps? When reporting, try to provide: • What happened • When and where it occurred • Descriptions of people, vehicles, or property involved • Any photographs, video footage, or witness details ✅ Even if you're unsure, report it What may seem like a minor incident could form part of a larger investigation. If something doesn't feel right, let us know.
